The Source sends a Message to the Receiver. The Receiver filters the Message according to the potential for Reward and Punishment, + & –, i.e. Reinforcements from the Source. Then the Receiver tries to behave so that they get a Reward, +. Normally these Rewards and Punishment are associated with Pain and Pleasure, although not always, as in the instance of the masochist - of whom most of us partake.
Example:
Hence the Newspapers, TV and Radio, which equals the Media, sends out a Message from the Source, which is usually the Establishment, which equals the International military industrial complex. This global corporate network is also called the System.
Newspapers + TV + Radio = Media
Establishment = International Military Industrial Establishment
= Global Corporate Network = the System.
So in this System of ours - under this model - the Establishment sends a Message to the Public. The Public evaluates the Message and makes a Response. The Establishment evaluates the Response and then metes out Consequences, i.e. Rewards and Punishment, , + & –, i.e. Pain and Pleasure.
The Consequences, + & –, are based upon the survival of the Establishment.
This is not an unusual set of affairs.
This is the Way of things.
Realizing it is the Way
Lets you turn the Way into a Wave, which you can ride.
Not realizing that this mechanism is the Way
You fight it.
It crashes on your head
Either you drown or come up gasping for air.
Blind-sided you did not see it coming.
Taken by surprise you weren’t prepared.
Knocked off balance before you knew what was happening.
Reeling before the blow -
Catapulting - somersaulting
Over - under - upside down
Maybe wounded - hopefully you’ll recover
with only a scar.
If you had only known that it was the Way,
You could have been prepared to turn it into a Wave and ride it away.
Let’s put this in terms of cells and organisms to see if it makes more sense.
Matter organized itself from single celled independent organisms to larger and larger collection of organisms. Each of these groupings of matter was fighting for its own survival in its own small way.
However, remember the values of the Cell are different than that of the Organism. Frequently the Cell strives for life – for existence, whether it’s good for the Organism or not. For instance, cancer is caused by out of control Cells reproducing themselves to the detriment and inevitable destruction of the Organism with the subsequent destruction of the Cells themselves.
The Cells want to survive at the expense of the Organism and the Organism wants to survive at the expense of the individual Cells.
For instance the Ant Colony is friends with the Anteater because he eats Ants that are no longer serving the purpose of the Colony. The individual Ants don’t like Anteaters but the collective Ant Colony does. Similarly the individual elks and caribou don’t like wolves but the Herd is best friends with the Pack because the Pack thins out the Herd.
Similarly while war is bad for individual humans it is not bad for the organisms made up of humans, called countries and corporations. While individuals, the Cells of the country (corpor-ations) normally called People, suffer tremendously during a war, the larger organizations might not suffer at all. Indeed they may thrive by becoming bigger and more powerful.
The Point is that the good of the Cell is not necessarily the good of the Organism and vice versa. Thus the Human Cell in partaking of the larger Organ-izations needs to be aware that his good and the Organ’s good are not equivalent.
This is very important information - for many humans, in confusion about what true rewards are, mistakenly identify themselves with the Organ to their individual detriment.
